Kincardine Cable TV is now Rogers Cable.
Rogers Communications purchased the locally-operated cable service for an undisclosed price.
Former Kincardine Cable owner Bryan Walden says Rogers took over the reins on July 28th.
Walden says Rogers has offered jobs to all 15 staff members.
He says he will remain on staff for the next little while as well.
Without getting into specifics, Walden says, Rogers believes the Kincardine system is a good one and will only benefit from the additional services the communications giant has to offer.
Walden says it’s a bittersweet moment.
His dad, Eric started the cable business in 1973 and it has been family operated ever since — the last 20 years by Bryan and his wife Lisa.
Walden says they’ve taken the business as far as they can go and it was time to let someone else take over.
Kincardine Cable has a base of 6,100 customers.
