The Paramedic Memorial Bell recently made a stop in Bruce County.
The Memorial Bell is a symbol of recognition of Canadian paramedics who have died in the line of duty or have lost their battle with PTSD and psychological injuries.
The Bell is journeying across Ontario, visiting every paramedic service.
A media release from the County says paramedic stations across Bruce County took the opportunity to spend time with the Memorial Bell, ringing the bell to honour each of the 51 names of the Fallen, their families and all the paramedics, dispatchers, and others serving who have suffered and taken their lives.
The public is encouraged to join paramedics in sharing inspiration on social media to help those suffering with PTSD, letting them know we are here to support them and that they are not alone. The County asks that you show your support using #NoOneShouldSufferInSilence
