The chair of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre (SBGHC) board of directors is resigning.
John Gilbert of Chesley has served on the board for 7-years–the last two as chair.
At the Centre’s regular board meeting, June 3rd, Gilbert says he leaves with a lot of “mixed emotions.”
He says he’s never “worked with a better bunch of people…….with their heart in the right place and all going in the same direction.”
The President & CEO of SBGHC Mike Barrett says he’s disappointed to see Gilbert leave as he’s done a great job of guiding the board for the last 2 years as chair.
Barrett says the good news is Gilbert leaves to become the Executive Director of the Chesley Hospital Foundation so he will still have close ties to the Health Centre.
A replacement for Gilbert will be chosen at the Health Centre’s upcoming Annual General Meeting on June 23rd.
