The Shallow Lake Crushers are the 2021-22 WOAA Senior ‘A’ Hockey Champions.
Daniel Zweep and Mackenzie Fleming each had a pair of goals, as the Crushers broke up a close game late in the third period to beat the Petrolia Squires 4-1 at the Shallow Lake & District Community Centre Sunday night, winning the best-of-seven 4-2 to capture the title.
Shallow Lake and Petrolia were tied 1-1 after two periods of play. Zweep scored what stood as the game-winner with seven minutes to go in regulation.
The Seaforth Centenaires defeated the Clinton Radars in five games to win the WOAA Senior Hockey “AA” title.
