The Desboro Royals nipped The Meaford Leaky Canoe Ladies 4-1 in Grey Bruce League action.
Kollby Kruger and Maddy Moore shared the pitching duties allowing 5 hits with 6 strikeouts.
Rachel Stanfield and Jenna Ethier had 2 hits apiece, while Jess McGregor doubled. Morgan Potter contributed 2 RBI’s.
For Meaford, Maddy Parish and Kelly Hanley combined in the loss. Jenn Croft and Abbey Schenk added doubles.
Tara Ladies 3 Allenford Gators 1
It was a beautiful night for ball in Tara.
Michelle McNabb led the Tara Ladies charge at the plate going 2 for 3 with an RBI.
Lexy Mahon and Christie Goudy combined for 10 Ks in the circle.
Nysa McDonald and Keri Emke spun the ball for the Gators in the losing cause. McDonald smacked a triple to the fence early on while Emke picked up a triple of her own scoring the lone run for the Gators.
Next up the Tara Ladies will travel to Desboro to take on the Royals on Tuesday night.
