Provincial Police say one person is dead after crashing a glider in southern Grey County.
Grey Bruce OPP, Dundalk firefighters, Grey County paramedics and Guelph-Wellington paramedics were called to a report of a aircraft collision in a field located off Southgate Road 4 — east of Mount Forest — around 7:45 p.m. Monday evening.
Police say the occupant of the ultralight glider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending next of kin notifications.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating the crash.
A statement from the Transportation Safety Board says it is deploying a team of investigators following an accident involving “an amateur build motor-glider” that occurred July 25 near Conn.
