A group of women who gather four times a year to donate to local organizations is looking for new members.
They are called the 100 Women Who Care Grey Bruce.
They recently donated $17,400 to Home and Community Support Services Grey Bruce as a result of their September meeting.
They meet four times a year, for one hour, and each woman makes a $100 commitment for each meeting. Then they jointly choose a local charity or not-for-profit to donate to.
Group Chair Lynda Legge says this year, they have donated a total of $48,900 to three charities in Grey Bruce.
“Together we collectively make an amazing impact in our Grey Bruce Community,” says Legge, noting their membership is now heading to 200 women.
Along with their Home and Community Support Services donation, they have donated $15,800 to Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey and $15,700 to Canadian Mental Health Association Grey Bruce Mental Health and Addiction Services.
Legge says their final meeting of the year is November 12th, 2022.
“We would love to have more women in the community who care about making a difference join us.”
