The Municipality of Kincardine is launching a new map hub detailing local information about the community.
Developed by the municipality’s Infrastructure and Development department, the hub shows information on where people can find art and heritage locations, where to buy garbage bag tags, as well as trails and accessible parking.
GIS and Asset Management Coordinator Alex Flanagan says, “you can explore active development applications in Kincardine using this tool. It’s dynamic and intuitive, providing information on projects across the municipality.
The municipality adds Mayor Kenneth Craig is looking forward to plans to add to the content, including new features and maps as they become available.
“The potential for the Kincardine Map Hub to help us showcase, promote, and communicate what’s happening in the municipality is significant,” says Craig.
The map hub can be found on the municipal website here, where users can also find a link to Bruce County’s mapping software, which features aerial photography, as well as property and land use information.
