The Bruce County Fire Chiefs have declared a total fire ban.
The updated ban is effective immediately and will remain in effect until it is deemed safe.
The ban covers all open-air burning, including campfires and burning of any kind, including brush clearing, burn barrels, chimineas, and fire pits.
The ban also extends to cover fireworks, and outdoor fire appliances, including woodburning stoves and outdoor ovens.
The current fire danger rating is listed as extreme.
All fire permits are suspended effective immediately.
