Girls Field Lacrosse
The Team Ontario U17 squad finished with a 1-2-1 record at the two-day MidAtlantic Summer Club Championships in Lutherville, Maryland over the weekend.
Team Ontario, featuring Owen Sound North Stars Laine Nissen, Taryn Lee and head coach Lyndsay Brooks, dropped their first game on Saturday to the Style ’25 club from North Carolina by a score of 6-5.
In their second game of the day, the team tied Dynasty ’25 Delta from Pennsylvania 6-6.
The U17 team split their games on Sunday defeating M&D ’25 Red from Maryland 7-5 before losing to 3D NE 2025 from Massachusetts 7-5.
The Team Ontario U17 squad will be in action at the Team Ontario Summer Sixes event Wednesday in Oshawa.

The Owen Sound Fire Fighters NorthStars tied the Halton Hills Bulldogs 6-6.
London Doyle and Leah Cooper scored two goals each for the Fire Fighters while Taryn Weppler, and Bree Wilkins scored one goal each.

Bree Wilkins led the Owen Sound offence with 3 goals and three assists. London Doyle also scored three goals, while Camryn Laycock scored two goals and Leah Cooper added a single marker.
The North Stars finished the regular season with a record of 7 wins, 4 loses and 1 tie & will be heading to the Provincial Championships in Oakville July 28th-30th.

Lauren Neil played a great game on defence and also contributed offensively with an excellent end to end rush.
