The sale of Bruce Telecom to a private equity firm has been completed.
The municipality of Kincardine issued a news release dated March 28 confirming Windsor Private Capital closed its acquisition of Bruce Telecom for $32.6-million.
A sale agreement was announced in October 2023.
“At the time of the announcement, the transaction was subject to regulatory approval from Innovation Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) and customary closing conditions. All conditions have been met, and the transfer of all shares has taken place, giving Windsor Private Capital sole-ownership,” a statement from the municipality explains.
Bruce Telecom offers internet, mobile, home phone and television services in communities across Bruce and Grey counties.
“Bruce Telecom’s name and brand, management, employees and partners remain unchanged, and will continue to provide customers with the same high quality of telecommunications service they have come to depend on,” the company says in a release.
