No one was hurt in a fire at a hotel in Owen Sound yesterday evening.
Owen Sound firefighters were called to Quality Inn on 6th Street East just before 6:40 p.m. Monday and arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the rear of the building.
Owen Sound Fire Captain Glenn Welsh says an attached storage structure was on fire.
He says firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and managed to prevent it from spreading into the main building.
The hotel occupants were temporarily evacuated while firefighters battled the fire, but were able to return to their rooms after.
No one was injured.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
