Bruce County is reminding all residents to keep residential 911 signs clear of snow.
With all of the snow that the county has received over the past few weeks, it’s important for residents in rural areas to remember to make sure their 911 signs don’t get buried in snow drifts and banks.
The county’s Emergency Management Coordinator, Ray Lux, says that if your sign gets covered up or buried, emergency crews aren’t able to easily find you.
He says that precious time can be wasted as police, fire, and paramedic crews spend extra minutes trying to find the correct location.
