Thousands of people across the region are without power this morning following yesterday’s freezing rain.
Hydro One’s outage map shows outages stretching from Tobermory to Sauble Beach and towards Meaford.
Hydro One crews are out assessing the damage and estimate the power to return around noon today.
This comes after Environment Canada issued a freezing rain warning, which calls for between six to 12 millimetres of ice buildup, which was likely to lead to power outages.
Environment Canada says the freezing rain will come to an end this morning as temperatures rise to above zero.
More details on the outages can be found on the Hydro One website here.
