Tens of thousands of households are still without power today across Ontario, after an ice storm swept across the province Saturday.
In our area, Hydro One reports outages for more than 6,000 homes and businesses on the Bruce Peninsula. Thousands more are without power in parts of eastern Grey County.
Hydro One warns outages could take a few days to restore.
There are some school bus cancellations and school closures in the Grey Bruce region Monday as a result.
All school buses into Owen Sound, Meaford, Thornbury, Lion’s Head, Tobermory, Wiarton, Hepworth and Sauble Beach are cancelled today. Dundalk & Proton, and Highpoint Community schools are closed.
