A Kincardine man faces charges after being arrested in Hanover.
Hanover Police Chief Chris Knoll says on social media, Hanover police officers conducted a traffic stop early Sunday morning, and arrested a 45-year-old Kincardine man after a brief struggle.
Knoll says the suspect required treatment for minor injuries in the hospital before being returned to police cells. He notes, the officers were not injured.
The police chief says officers seized cocaine with an estimated street value of over $17,000 along with what they allege is other evidence of trafficking.
He says the suspect’s vehicle was also seized, pending forfeiture as offence related property. The suspect was released from custody on conditions with a court date facing ten charges, including obstructing justice, possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and unauthorized possession of a weapon.
