Several schools in Saugeen Shores and in Mildmay are closed on Wednesday due to power outages after Tuesday’s severe storm.
According to the Student Transportation Service Consortium of Grey Bruce, Port Elgin-Saugeen Central School, Saugeen District Secondary School, Saugeen District Elementary School and Northport Elementary School, St. Joseph’s in Port Elgin, and Immaculate Conception School in Mildmay are all closed.
The Bluewater District School Board now says Highpoint Community School in Dundalk will be open today, as power has been restored. Earlier this morning that school was reported closed.
All school buses into Port Elgin & Southampton, including Saugeen First Nation buses are cancelled today.
