Grey Bruce OPP say they have charged and arrested two residents following a traffic stop in Saugeen First Nation.
Police say on Sept. 9 around 11:50 p.m., a vehicle was stopped on Madwayosh Lane, where the driver was placed under arrest and brought to the local detachment for further tests.
As a result, OPP note the accused 27-year-old Arran-Elderslie resident has been charged with driving while impaired, possession of a weapon and imitation weapon, and possession of drugs.
They have been given a court date for later in October in Owen Sound.
The passenger of the vehicle was also apprehended and OPP say the 39-year-old Saugeen First Nation resident was charged with possession of a weapon, various counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, and failing to comply with a release order.
They appeared in Owen Sound court on Sept. 10.
