Bruce County’s planning committee has approved a major revision for a subdivision planned in Saugeen Shores.
The application was for 20 residential units and would include a mix of housing types.
The 26.03 hectare property is located in the south end of Port Elgin, northwest of Highway 21 and Bruce Road 25.
The revision to the plan includes creating 19 additional townhouses on Ridge Street.
The applicant had found that the land in the area was larger than needed for its initial plan, so they decided to add the 19 units.
The modified plan will also create an additional single detached home on Ivings Drive, after the parcel was initially intended to contain the original farmhouse which
has since been removed due to its poor condition.
