Georgian Bluffs council officially passed a by-law Wednesday evening to appoint Isaac Shouldice to the vacant seat at the council table.
The decision was already approved at a previous special meeting but had to be formalized.
“I am so thankful to be appointed to represent the people and township that I am so lucky to call home. I look forward to working with my fellow councillors and township staff,” Shouldice says in a statement.
Georgian Bluffs council started the new term with one open seat after Mike Smith was elected, but resigned before the inaugural meeting due to health reasons.
Shouldice was recommended for appointment, as the person who received the next highest number of votes in the October municipal election.
