The Bruce Peninsula Hospital Foundation is bringing back its fundraising lottery, with more prizes and tickets available for purchase.
The foundation says after seeing the popularity of the lottery and selling out over the past two years, they are doubling up on the prizes and the number of tickets available.
The Sauble Family Health Team, the South Bruce Peninsula Family Health Organization, and the Peninsula Family Health Team collectively support the lottery and the cash prizes.
The proceeds from this lottery have supported the purchases of new x-ray machines, defibrillators, and transport monitors at the Wiarton and Lion’s Head hospitals.
The funds raised from this year’s lottery, will go towards technology directed to support cancer patients who arrive in emergency departments, by providing health care professionals easy access to oncology information.
“When you purchase a Hooked on Health lottery ticket, not only are you eligible to win great case prizes, you are also making this advanced technology available to our families, friends and neighbours in their times of need, right here, close to home,” says the foundation.
The lottery offers five cash prizes, with a $5,000 grand prize.
Tickets are $10 each and the draw will occur on Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Wiarton Hospital.
Tickets are available at Josie’s Fashions, Scott’s Home Hardware, and the the Wiarton Hospital, as well as over the phone at 519-534-5856 or by visiting the foundation website here.
