Saugeen Shores police have arrested a driver after what officers describe as a serious incident.
Police say in a social media post, Saugeen Shores Police, with assistance from the OPP responded to the incident on Thursday (April 20) at about 9 p.m. on Goderich Street.
They say a police vehicle was damaged after it was used to push a vehicle off the roadway before it entered the downtown core of Port Elgin.
They say an adult driver was arrested for several offences and was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police say, “Thankfully no one was injured as a result of this incident.”
They add, “Due to the nature of the investigation, and in an effort to protect the identities of the victims, no further information will be shared.”
