The Town of Saugeen Shores says it plans to resume its shoreline rehabilitation work along North Shore Road between Port Elgin and Southampton starting the first week of February.
The Town says this continues the work started in 2022 to fix the trail and protect the road, after several years of high-water levels eroded the shoreline.
This year’s plan is to rebuild the slope up to the existing trail and rehabilitate the surrounding area.
Crews will then reconstruct a three-metre-wide trail beside the existing road.
The work is expected to last until the spring.
The town says road closure and detour information will follow as work gets ready to begin.
