Grey Bruce OPP say they ticketed more than 140 drivers during a traffic safety campaign over the Easter long weekend.
The OPP say 90 drivers were caught speeding on provincial highways patrolled by Grey Bruce OPP in the region during the four-day enforcement initiative from March 29-April 1.
There were two incidents where stunt driving charges were laid. Police say a driver was clocked going 144 kilometres an hour in an 80 km/h zone on Grey Bruce Line in Georgian Bluffs. Another driver was allegedly going 114 km/h in a 60 km/h zone on Grey Road 3 in Georgian Bluffs.
Grey Bruce OPP say there also issued 25 seat belt tickets, two for using a cell phone while driving and a few for failing to stop at a stop sign.
South Bruce OPP, who patrol in the communities of Arran-Elderslie, Brockton, Kincardine and South Bruce say they charged three drivers and two passengers for failing to wear a seat belt.
South Bruce OPP laid 123 charges including 54 charges for speeding, one impaired driving charge, one for distracted driving and two charges for driving while suspended.
They say they issued 53 warnings. There were no collisions on South Bruce OPP patrolled roads.
