A new bus service between Owen Sound and Toronto will begin operating this week.
FlixBus has announced a route between the Owen Sound Transit Terminal and Toronto’s Union Station, and the first trip is scheduled on Thursday, May 30.
The new route will be operated by a FlixBus partner, Gallexy Tours, and operate five days a week. An online route schedule shows the buses will operate Thursday-Monday, with no trips on Tuesday or Wednesday.
The bus from Toronto departs Union Station at 9:30 a.m. each day, and the trip from Owen Sound leaves the Scenic City’s transit terminal at 3:15 p.m.
The full bus trip is scheduled to take three-and-a-half hours, either way.
The new Owen Sound-Toronto bus will also include stops in Meaford, Collingwood, Barrie and the Pearson International Airport.
“We are excited to partner with Gallexy to offer this much-needed service to Owen Sound,” said says FlixBus Senior Manager of Network Planning Richard Szeri in a release. “Our goal is to provide efficient and affordable transportation options for our customers, and this new route will do just that with tickets starting at $33.99. We are confident this partnership will benefit the local community and tourists alike.”
