The Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser is going to see some route adjustments for four walks Saturday night.
The charity walks for Saugeen Shores, Kincardine, Meaford, and Grey Highlands will be taking place as planned, but because of the weather, walkers will be completing the 2km route instead of the 5k route, which has been eliminated from plans.
With sidewalks dealing with snow, and road closures throughout the region, some changes had to be made.
United Way Fundraising Champion Kristy Andre says that if participants can safely make it to any of the events, they are welcome to join, and that safety is a top priority.
Organizers will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates if anything changes.
The Coldest Night of the Year is a family-friendly fundraising walk that raises awareness and support for those experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in local communities.
