South Bruce OPP say multiple people are facing charges following a traffic stop in Kincardine
Police say on April 18 at 7:32 p.m., officers stopped to check a vehicle along Durham Street.
During the stop, police say officers found illicit drugs in plain view and a search resulted in the seizure of a quantity of drugs and prohibited weapons.
As a result, police say a 42-year-old of no fixed address has been charged with two counts of possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a weapon, and two counts of failing to comply with probation.
A 30-year-old from Arran-Elderslie and a 34-year-old from Meaford were charged with two counts of possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking.
A 23-year-old from Saugeen First Nation was charged with two counts of possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking and unauthorized possession of a weapon.
A 39-year-old from South Bruce Peninsula was charged with two counts of possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking and failing to comply with an undertaking.
Police say all of the accused were held for a bail hearing in Walkerton.
